The crochet jumper skirt is completed!!
This is my second super flared crochet jumper skirt with a tutu effect. My first is a my rabbit jumper skirt.
I underestimated just how much yarn this project would consume. The skirt, especially towards the edges(multi-color blue), used up 6 skeins of yarn(each skein is 364 yards).
This isn’t difficult to make. In fact, I’d go on to say that it’s fairly straightforward. It’s beginner/intermediate level. All it is a several rows of single crochets for the waist band, then do a series of shell stitches. I alternate between two rows of shell stitches then four rows of singles(two rows of single before switching to a new color, in this case black) then back to the shell stitches. Rinse and repeat.
As for suspenders, I made a square in single crochets and then made straps. That can be a bit more challenging for a beginner crocheter, as counting stitches is critical so the width remains consistent.
Oh and cats. Because why not?
Super cute skirt!! I love all the ruffles!! 😀
Thanks a bunch!! Ruffles are fun but yarn consuming!!!
